In the realm of data analytics, my new goal, the importance of starting with the right questions is akin to a detective extracting insights from tons of evidence.
Let's delve into the art of asking highly effective questions, focusing on SMART questions:
Specific:
Is your question addressing the core problem with context? Does it uncover the necessary information?
Measurable:
Will your question provide measurable answers, allowing for informed decisions?
Action-oriented:
Do the answers to your questions guide the formulation of actionable plans?
Relevant:
Is your question directly tied to solving the specific problem at hand?
Time-bound:
Are the answers pertinent to the specific timeframe under consideration?
Examples of SMART Questions, about water consumption:
Specific: What daily water intake, in ounces, aligns with your health and hydration objectives?
Measurable: How can we track and measure the amount of water consumed daily to ensure hydration goals are met?
Time-Bound: By when do you aim to establish a consistent water consumption routine to support overall well-being?
Things to Avoid:
Steering clear of leading questions that suggest a specific response.
Evading closed-ended questions by encouraging detailed responses.
Eliminating vague questions by providing context for accurate and measurable answers.
